CEL ATC / FOUR-CHANNEL RF
Cavity combiner
Bench monitor & bounded motor control
No hardware commands are sent until authorised. R3 supports monitoring; jogging requires experimental r5.
R13 · optimise a tuned cavity
Small local search for lower reflected/forward ratio. Requires a fresh Tuned state and stable RF. All cavities’ automatic tuning and monitoring pause during the run. This is not a search for maximum antenna-output power.
Waiting for R13 identity.
Rev13A · retry a failed cavity
Clears only the selected parked cavity’s repeated-tune-failure latch. The standalone scanner then reacquires its carrier and the normal tuning cycle may move that cavity.
At most 2 phase steps per move, 64 cumulative steps including return, and ±16 firmware displacement limit. The web run uses the smaller selected radius. Fresh samples are taken after settling. Abort holds without blindly returning or resuming. Browser Stop depends on communications; use bench controls if needed. A run continues if you close the browser, but is bounded by host and firmware deadlines.
R12 tuning reference
Waiting for diagnostics.
Retains the latest automatic tuning attempt only, not one history per cavity. The allowance may remain marked counting after tuning has completed; motor phase 9 is terminal. These are commanded phase advances, not encoder-confirmed travel. Startup, parking and manual-jog reference guards are unchanged.
Manual maintenance
UnavailablePauses all automatic tuning and its RF monitoring. RF must be off for this first bench version. Browser Stop is not an emergency stop. Use normal bench power/RF controls if communication fails.
No motor diagnostics.
Direction is electrical, not a confirmed increase/decrease in tuned frequency. Position is an unverified software count; initial energisation can align the rotor. No continuous jog.
Controller configuration
Read settings before editing. Each write changes one setting, saves the previous configuration and verifies read-back. These settings may affect automatic tuning. Pre-tune frequency remains unavailable: command C4 is absent from the supplied firmware table.
Not read this session.
Parking location · all cavities
Read configuration to see the current parking location.
Global setting: affects all cavities' subsequent parking/homing. This does not command a park or reboot and does not guarantee clockwise/counterclockwise order. Requires the RF-off confirmation above. Read-back verifies the runtime setting, not an independent EEPROM read.
Uses the RF-off confirmation above. No automatic rollback or retries. Disabling parking with FF:FF is intentionally unavailable.
Firmware upload · experimental
Stages files on the Pi first; staging does not contact the controller. Only complete, checksum-valid ATC29 Motorola S-record images are accepted. The file extension may be .HEX or .s19. Sparse legacy files and raw binaries are refused.
No candidate staged.
No rollback staged.
First use must be supervised. Programming has no safe remote cancel once committed. Do not interrupt power or restart the service while programming. A completion marker is not a full flash read-back verification.
No upload in progress.
After programming, polling stops. Keep RF off and restart the service with the matching R3/R5/R12 profile before verifying settings. R12 is identified using its EC response, not the legacy R5 status signature. This interface does not implement boot-jumper recovery.
